Michael Wayne Plant
Michael Wayne Plant is a committed Street Photographer. Living in and working London, England. He has spent years working on the streets making images. Michael is graduate of Goldsmiths College University of London, where he completed a MA in Photography and Urban Cultures.
Michael’s work has focused on Visualising capitalism as a Social Documentary Photographer. He also makes portraits and regularly practice street photography. Michael is interested in the social landscape that we inhabit and is currently now working in both Black and White and Colour. The first 20 years of using digital cameras, he spent being a colour photographer, however with his return to using film. Michael, realised that he now wants to work in Black and White as well. From 2010 to 2017 He was a Sony Global Imaging Ambassador. Michael is currently working 2 days a week with DxO in PR and Product Liaison, as well as being a photographer.
Cameras used.
Michael works with Leica M system cameras, Nikon DSLR’s and Nikon Z mount cameras. His preferred camera is a manual focus Leica M camera, he doesn’t mind if it is film or digital. His current fav cameras are a Leica MA (film) and a Leica M11M (digital).
Favourite Focal Length used.
It really depends on the light and conditions however it is either a 35mm or a 28mm for Street Photography if using my Leicas. If using my Nikons, it is always a 40mm lens. He also has multiple 40mm lens for Z and F-mount cameras.
